## Course Overview
Welcome to your comprehensive journey into **amateur radio regulations**! This course transforms the dry FCC rules into practical, understandable lessons designed for beginners with no technical background. Whether you learn best through stories, visuals, repetition, or step-by-step breakdowns, this course builds knowledge **organically**—like learning to drive by understanding the road rules before touching the wheel.
Subelement T1 breakdown (from the official 2022-2026 question pool, effective through June 30, 2026
6 questions** on your 35-question exam divided into **6 subgroups** (T1A through T1F)
Covers **FCC authority, licensing, operating privileges, and station requirements**
Success Goal:- 85%+ on the exam (need 26/35 correct overall; ace T1 with 5-6/6). You'll gain practical skills like verifying your license, using phonetics in real conversations, and understanding why rules prevent chaos on the airwaves.
Learning Approach for You:
Stories and analogies:- Rules explained like traffic laws for radio highways.
Visual aids:- Diagrams, tables, and simple sketches.
Repetition with variety:- Key concepts revisited in different ways.
Real-world application:- How to apply rules when you first key up your radio.
Quizzes with deep explanations:- Every wrong answer teaches you why it's wrong.
Pro Tip:- Read one section daily, take the quiz, review explanations aloud. Repeat until 100% quiz score. Real retention comes from **understanding why**, not rote memorization.
This course will dive into the regulations, theory, and practical application of the world of amateur radio. It will take the high level from the previous course and expand on the topics. This course does not assume that you have extensive technical knowledge, instead it will attempt to make the legal and technical aspects of the exam more friendly and accessible, using real world examples, analogies, and plain language where ever possible to make the subject matter easier to digest and retain.
This course includes optional labs to allow those who are "hands on" to add the "doing" to the "learning" for additional depth and information retention.
The quizzes in the course are optional, though we recommend that review them to see your progress.
The final course will focus on quizzes to help you zero in on the answers you need to pass the exam.
